About FORT WORTH HOPE CENTER

Fort Worth Hope Center is a nonprofit food bank and human services organization incorporated as a 501(c)(3) in 2004 that serves low-income and unemployed families in the Tarrant County (Fort Worth/Dallas) area. The organization operates a food pantry and mobile distribution program and runs the School of Hope vocational training program aimed at helping adults earn certifications and obtain sustainable employment. In recent years Fort Worth Hope Center has scaled large distributions and volunteer mobilization: it reported multi-million-pound food redistribution totals across 2023–2025 and continued holiday basket programs and mobile pantry events. In 2025 the organization relocated from its longtime property, restructured operations, and resumed food distributions through a mobile model while maintaining partner agency networks and volunteer engagement.

Notable achievements

2024 distribution milestone

Distributed approximately 2.4 million pounds of food in 2024, delivering roughly 97,319 food baskets and serving hundreds of thousands of people through pantry and partner distributions.

Volunteer & holiday program scale

Expanded volunteer engagement and holiday assistance, distributing several thousand holiday baskets and mobilizing over a thousand volunteers annually (tens of thousands of volunteer hours across recent years).

Facility relocation and operational restructure (2025)

Exited a longtime 56,000 sq ft facility in 2025, liquidated assets, relocated to Kennedale and successfully restructured to resume operations as a mobile food pantry to maintain service continuity.
