About Nasher Sculpture Center

The Nasher Sculpture Center is a nonprofit museum in the Dallas Arts District that houses the Raymond and Patsy Nasher collection of modern and contemporary sculpture and presents rotating exhibitions, public programs, and education initiatives. The Renzo Piano–designed building and adjacent sculpture garden opened in 2003 and serve as a focal point for sculpture study, installation, conservation, and public engagement. In recent years the Nasher has continued an active exhibition and acquisitions program (including major temporary exhibitions, the Nasher Prize laureate presentations, and the Nasher Public series) and runs community-facing programs such as garden events, free monthly 'til Midnight evenings, education offerings, and partnerships with regional cultural institutions.

Notable achievements

Architectural landmark and permanent collection

Opened in 2003 in a Renzo Piano–designed building, the Nasher houses the Raymond and Patsy Nasher Collection of more than 300 major modern and contemporary sculptures and a sculpture garden designed for long-term display and conservation.

Nasher Prize and laureate exhibitions

Creator of the Nasher Prize (established 2015), the Center has continued to award and present exhibitions by leading contemporary sculptors, including recent laureates and associated museum presentations that highlight global sculptural practice.

Recent acquisitions and major exhibitions (2023–2025)

Across 2023–2025 the Nasher mounted multiple commissioned and survey exhibitions and substantially expanded its holdings (including dozens of newly acquired works showcased in 2025 exhibitions), while presenting public-installation projects in the Dallas Arts District.
