About FAITH AND COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT

Faith and Community Empowerment (FACE) is a Los Angeles–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that equips faith leaders, churches, and community organizations to serve underserved Asian American and broader immigrant communities through leadership training, advocacy, housing services, youth development, and civic engagement. FACE operates capacity-building programs (including the C2 Leadership Institute), an established homeownership and foreclosure-prevention practice, and AAPI-focused workforce and advocacy initiatives. In recent years FACE has run annual homeownership fairs, expanded AAPI career-pathway internships, and led commemoration and solidarity efforts addressing the legacy of the 1992 LA unrest and contemporary anti-AAPI harms.

Homeownership & foreclosure impact

Operates recurring homeownership fairs and counseling that the organization reports have helped thousands toward homeownership and claim large-scale foreclosure relief outcomes (site-reported metrics include millions in downpayment assistance and significant mortgage savings for clients).

Leadership training for faith & community leaders

Through the C2 Leadership Institute and related programs FACE has trained thousands of faith leaders in community development, advocacy, and organizational capacity-building to increase faith-sector participation in local policy and service networks.

AAPI youth & workforce initiatives

Expanded AAPI Career Pathways and youth internship partnerships with county workforce systems to increase AAPI participation in paid internships and early-career opportunities in recent years.
