RIDGEWOOD OLDER ADULT CENTER AND SERVICES INC

Ridgewood Older Adult Center and Services, Inc. (ROAC) is a neighborhood-based 501(c)(3) senior center in Ridgewood (Queens), New York, offering congregate meals, exercise and recreational activities, a food pantry, benefits assistance and other supportive services for adults age 60+. The center operates from its long-standing location at 59-14 70th Avenue and emphasizes culturally responsive programming that helps members remain socially connected and independent. In the last 2–3 years ROAC marked its 50th anniversary (June 2024), launched a public fundraising campaign in spring 2024 to address rising operating costs and potential relocation, and continued daily programming including hot lunches, wellness classes, and pantry distributions. The organization files annual IRS Form 990s and reports mid-six-figure annual revenues in recent filings; it also partners with municipal and local providers to deliver referrals and meal services to homebound seniors.
