COMMUNITY HEALTH PROMOTION PROJECT
To promote integration of comprehensive reproductive health services into primary care and to support clinicians in establishing patient-centered early abortion and reproductive care.
About COMMUNITY HEALTH PROMOTION PROJECT
The Community Health Promotion Project (CHPP) is a small New York–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 06-1646697) founded to advance the integration of reproductive health services into primary care. CHPP serves as the fiscal and organizational home for clinician-focused projects that expand access to early abortion care and clinician training. CHPP sponsors and supports projects (most notably the MYA Network) that provide clinician training, referral and telemedicine-based options for early abortion, and limited patient financial assistance. The EIN and organizational existence were confirmed through recent nonprofit filings and third-party nonprofit directories; CHPP appears to operate primarily through project web platforms and fiscal-sponsorship relationships rather than a standalone public website.
Notable achievements
Launched MYA Network
CHPP incubated and sponsors the MYA Network, a clinician-led project launched during the COVID-19 pandemic to expand telemedicine and primary-care–based early abortion services and build a national clinician referral network.
Fiscal sponsorship and grant-supported activity
CHPP has operated as a fiscal sponsor and recipient of small program grants that enabled project fundraising, clinician training, and limited direct financial support to patients seeking early abortion care.
Clinician training and referral infrastructure
Through its project work, CHPP has supported training, resources and practical onboarding for clinicians (primary care and advanced practice clinicians) to integrate medical abortion and manual uterine aspiration into routine practice.
