NAMI Queens/Nassau, Inc.

NAMI Queens/Nassau, Inc. is the local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness serving Queens and Nassau counties in New York. The affiliate delivers free and low-cost peer support, education, advocacy, and public-awareness programming for people living with mental illness and their families. Programs include a multi-day helpline, in-person and virtual support groups, NAMI signature classes (such as Family-to-Family), peer socialization groups, and community presentations. The organization operates as a donor-facing nonprofit with an active website, event calendar, and regular fundraising activities. Over the past 2–3 years (2023–2026) the affiliate has expanded virtual and in-person offerings, launched new peer socialization programming and the “Unites” creative page, and continued public events and fundraising activities to support services across the two-county service area.
