To provide military veterans — with priority for World War II and terminally ill veterans — a free, all-expenses-paid visit to Washington, D.C. to honor their service by visiting the memorials dedicated to their service and sacrifice.
About Rocky Mountain Honor Flight
Rocky Mountain Honor Flight (RMHF) is a Denver, Colorado–based 501(c)(3) public charity, founded in 2007 and operating as a regional hub of the Honor Flight network. The organization is entirely volunteer-run and exists to transport veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit monuments and memorials honoring their service.
RMHF typically organizes multi-day missions (generally 3 days/2 nights) that include guided visits to the World War II Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery (including the changing of the guard), the Marine Corps War Memorial and other sites. The group aims to run three to four flights per year, subject to funding and volunteer availability.
In recent years RMHF has continued active operations: it reports flights completed in 2024–2025, maintains an ongoing veteran waiting list (commonly several months), and conducts community fundraising and volunteer recruitment to cover mission costs.
