AMERICAN JEWISH CONGRESS INC

The American Jewish Congress (AJCongress) is a century-old, New York–based Jewish advocacy organization founded in 1918. It describes its mission as defending Jewish interests and civil liberties at home and abroad through public-policy advocacy, litigation, research, and public education.

Under current leadership the organization publishes policy briefs and special reports, runs voter-information resources, hosts events and briefings for policymakers and officials, and issues frequent public statements on antisemitism, campus matters, U.S.–Israel policy, and other issues affecting the Jewish community. AJCongress maintains an active web presence with press releases, research reports, and job postings indicating on-going operations in recent years.

AJCongress also emphasizes its historical role in American civil-rights efforts and international Jewish advocacy while continuing contemporary programs (reports, briefings, and media engagement) focused on countering extremism and protecting Jewish communities.
