Phoenix Houses of Texas Inc (EIN 13-3810073) is a Dallas-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that delivers substance-use prevention and mental-health education to adolescents, families, and communities across Texas. Founded in 1995, the organization historically operated a continuum of adolescent treatment services (residential and outpatient). After financial pressures it closed its adolescent clinical treatment programs on September 29, 2023 and formally pivoted to focus its operations on prevention, education, and community training statewide. Today Phoenix House Texas operates prevention and education centers and initiatives (including Project Empathy and Positive Prevention) in multiple Texas cities and emphasizes serving historically underserved youth, families, and communities through no-cost prevention programming funded by grants and donors.
