AMPERSAND FAMILIES

Ampersand Families is a Minnesota-based nonprofit that provides permanency, adoption, foster-care support, and family-focused services for youth who have been involved with the child welfare system, with particular emphasis on older youth and sibling groups. The organization offers home study and licensing support, placement and match services, case management, advocacy, and family coaching to help youth achieve safe, lasting family connections. In recent years Ampersand Families has expanded program reporting and public transparency through annual reports and Form 990 filings and has continued formal partnerships with Minnesota’s child welfare system and the Minnesota Department of Children, Youth, and Families to coordinate recruitment and placement work. Operational highlights in the most recent fiscal years include targeted child-specific recruitment and completion of multiple home study assessments to support foster/adoptive placements and permanency for youth served.
