About SUSTAIN HAWAII

Sustain Hawaii is a Waimānalo‑based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that designs and pilots community‑scale, ag‑centric projects which blend indigenous Hawaiian knowledge with contemporary sustainability science and technology. The organization’s work centers on food‑system resilience, culturally relevant education, and health & wellness programming for Native Hawaiian and underserved communities.

Since its founding in 2003, Sustain Hawaii has operated as a small, donor‑facing nonprofit with an active board (majority Native Hawaiian) and a track record of partnerships with state agencies, foundations and community groups to prototype programs and tools intended for scalable local impact.

Administration for Native Americans (ANA) project
