About INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR THE STUDY OF LUNG CANCER
The International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC), founded in 1974, is a global multidisciplinary organization dedicated to the study and eradication of lung and other thoracic cancers. It is registered in the United States as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN: 20-0499338) and serves clinicians, researchers, patients, advocates and allied professionals worldwide.
IASLC advances the field through its flagship World Conference on Lung Cancer, peer-reviewed journals, clinical resources (including an Atlas of Molecular Testing), advocacy and training programs. In the last 2–3 years the association expanded hybrid and on‑demand education, updated molecular testing guidance, and continued major global meetings including its 50th anniversary activities and large-scale World Conferences in 2024–2025.

Journal of Thoracic Oncology (JTO)
Established and sustained a leading peer-reviewed publication program (JTO and JTO Clinical and Research Reports) that publishes high-impact basic, translational and clinical lung cancer research.
Clinical guidance & testing resources
Produced internationally used resources such as the Atlas of Molecular Testing, contributed to TNM staging efforts and issued practice‑informing position statements and guidance in recent years.
