About CRESTED BUTTE FIRE AND EMS ASSOCIATION
The Crested Butte Fire and EMS Association is the volunteer association and squad that supports the Crested Butte Fire Protection District (CBFPD). The association raises funds, recruits and trains volunteers, and runs community programs that support local fire and emergency medical services.
The Association operates the long-running community Pancake Breakfast fundraiser and the Explorer youth program, maintains a Fallen Firefighter Fund for members in need, and coordinates closely with CBFPD on reserve staffing, training, and community safety events.

Operates the 4th of July Pancake Breakfast, a multi-decade annual fundraiser that supports the volunteer squad, explorer club, and Fallen Firefighter Fund.
Fallen Firefighter Fund
Established and maintains a dedicated fund to assist members and families during times of injury, illness, or loss.
Integration with CBFPD operations
Helps facilitate cooperation between volunteers and the Crested Butte Fire Protection District, supporting reserve staffing and transition to a mixed volunteer/paid staffing model.
