About ROCKY MOUNTAIN COLLIE AND SHELTIE RESCUE, INC.
Rocky Mountain Collie and Sheltie Rescue, Inc. (RMCSR) is a volunteer-run, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in southern Colorado that has been operating since its origins in 1979. The organization works throughout the Rocky Mountain region to rehabilitate and rehome Collies, Shelties and their mixes, placing every rescue dog in a foster home until matched with an approved adopter.
All incoming dogs receive complete veterinary care (spay/neuter, vaccinations, dental care, heartworm testing/treatment and other medical needs) while in foster care. RMCSR relies on donations, grants, sponsorships and volunteers to fund medical care, transport, foster support and adoption screening.
