Operation Shanti
Every day Operation Shanti provides essential human services — food, shelter, educational and medical assistance — because only after basic needs are met can the destitute begin to help themselves.
About Operation Shanti
Operation Shanti is a San Francisco–based 501(c)(3) public charity (tax-exempt since 2005) that funds and operates international relief programs focused on children, elderly, and destitute people. The organization’s core programs include a long-term 'Project Home' for street and slum children, street outreach ('Street RAK'), and medical/food assistance initiatives ('Project Food & More') serving communities in India. Operation Shanti maintains regular U.S. nonprofit reporting (Form 990 filings through 2024) and sustains donor-funded activities that support education, basic health care, nutrition, and stable housing for vulnerable beneficiaries.
