About MindLeaps

MindLeaps is a New York–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 20-2041093) that uses a structured dance curriculum and data-driven teaching to build social-emotional and cognitive skills for children and youth in under-resourced communities. The organization operates internationally and launched its first U.S. program in New York City in January 2022, expanding to additional NYC neighborhoods and Philadelphia in subsequent years. MindLeaps measures participant progress with proprietary tracking software and publishes audited annual reports and Form 990s to document activity and financials.

Programs blend physical dance training, choreography and structured lessons to develop seven targeted learning skills (memorization, grit, teamwork, discipline, self-esteem, creativity and language) while partnering with local providers (e.g., Children of Promise, Queens Community House) and researchers to adapt and scale services. Recent organizational activity includes program expansion in NYC (Bronx and Queens) and classroom launches in Philadelphia, plus continued global programming and Virtual Academy offerings for older youth and entrepreneurship training.
