About Florida Chapter of the American Association of Blacks in Energy
The Florida Chapter of the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE FL) is a state chapter of the national AABE network that promotes minority participation and leadership in energy policy, workforce development, and STEM education. The chapter runs scholarship programs, a long-running Youth Energy Academy and community outreach (including Black Energy Awareness Month activities) across multiple Florida regions. AABE FL operates as an active, donor-facing 501(c)(3) chapter (EIN 20-2209864) with regular public programming: scholarship cycles and winners in 2023–2025, an Annual General Membership Meeting on June 21, 2024, and ongoing events and partnerships through 2025–2026. The chapter partners with corporations, foundations and local institutions to fund scholarships, run career/career-day events, and host professional-development forums for members and students.
