About FIREHOUSE QUILTS OF COLORADO, INC.
Founded in 2003 and incorporated as Firehouse Quilts of Colorado, Inc., the organization is staffed by volunteers who sew, finish and deliver quilts to people experiencing emergencies such as fires, accidents, domestic violence, homelessness, and other crises.
In recent years the group has reported producing and donating on the order of 1,500–1,900 quilts per year and has donated more than 23,000 quilts since 2003. Volunteers meet regularly for Sew Days, work from home, and deliver quilts in response to agency requests across Colorado.
