About PAPAHANA KUAOLA

Papahana Kuaola is an aloha ʻāina–based nonprofit located in the ʻili of Waipao within the ahupuaʻa of Heʻeia (Kāneʻohe, Oʻahu). The organization uses Hawaiian knowledge, cultural practice, and ecological restoration to deliver environmental education, workforce training, and community-based stewardship. The organization operates a 63-acre campus and restoration site where it runs school field programs, community workshops, and sustainable-living demonstration projects that integrate loʻi, stream and nearshore restoration, and cultural practice.
