About JACKSONVILLE SCHOOL FOR AUTISM INC

Jacksonville School for Autism (JSA) is a not-for-profit, private K–12 school founded in 2005 that provides specialized education and applied behavior analysis (ABA) clinical services for children and young adults with autism spectrum disorders. The organization uses an integrative model emphasizing parent–teacher partnerships, small class sizes, individualized learning plans and community-based vocational training. In recent years JSA has expanded its Supportive Transition & Employment (STEP) program to provide pre-vocational and vocational training, on-the-job training with local business partners, and micro-enterprise opportunities to prepare students for independent or supported employment. JSA has also been active in fundraising and community partnerships (including summer transition/enrichment programming and vocational placements), and has received grant and legislative support for its transition/employment work.
