About FAMILY PROMISE OF HAWAII

Family Promise of Hawaiʻi is a Honolulu-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that prevents and ends family homelessness on Oʻahu (and serves families on Maui) by providing emergency shelter, case management, rental assistance, prevention services, and stabilization supports. The organization mobilizes faith-based congregations, community partners, volunteers, and financial resources to move families with children quickly into stable housing and to help them retain that housing. Family Promise of Hawaiʻi reports sustained, measurable outcomes: since 2006 it has served thousands of family members; in recent years it has reported high housing placement and retention rates and thousands of family members served in single recent years. The organization publishes audited financials and Form 990s and actively runs fundraising and community-engagement events (including an annual Brighter Futures Gala) to support its programs.
