Myocarditis Foundation

Founded in 2005 and based in Kingwood, Texas, the Myocarditis Foundation is the only U.S. nonprofit dedicated solely to myocarditis. The organization provides patient and family resources, clinician education, online support communities, and public awareness campaigns. The Foundation operates a competitive research fellowship grant program that provides seed funding to early-career investigators, runs webinars and educational initiatives for clinicians and patients, and publishes practical patient guides (for example, a “10 Critical Questions to Ask Your Doctor” PDF). In recent years the organization has continued awarding annual fellowship grants and expanding outreach to both medical and patient communities. The charity is an active, donor-facing 501(c)(3) with recent Form 990 filings and multi-year financial activity, ongoing fundraising and corporate grant support, and visible partnerships/recognition from major patient and heart-health organizations. It maintains an active website, social media/webinar program, and a research grant program that seeds translational and clinical myocarditis research.
