About FIREHOUSE SUBS PUBLIC SAFETY FOUNDATION INC

Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, founded in Jacksonville, Florida in 2005, is a 501(c)(3) public charity that provides grants for lifesaving equipment, training, scholarships, disaster relief and support for military communities. The Foundation was established by the founders of Firehouse Subs after their Hurricane Katrina relief work and is funded primarily by Firehouse Subs restaurant fundraising and individual/corporate donors. In the last 2–3 years the Foundation has remained active through its quarterly grant program and targeted initiatives, awarding equipment grants for AEDs, extrication tools ("Jaws of Life"), rescue watercraft, UTVs and other emergency-response gear to local fire, EMS and police departments. The organization also supports disaster relief efforts and runs scholarship and training funding streams to strengthen first responder capabilities nationwide.
