The Consortium partners with the community of Adams County so that Adams County youth will leave high school with enrollment in and support for a sustainable living-wage post-secondary pathway.
About Adams County Education Consortium
Adams County Education Consortium (ACEC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit convener that connects K–12 districts, higher education, industry, government and community partners to improve career and college readiness for Adams County students.
ACEC runs countywide career-exposure events, develops pre-apprenticeship and credentialing programs, and coordinates scholarship and student support services to increase post-secondary enrollment and workforce readiness.
Founded in 2005, the Consortium serves all seven Adams County school districts and acts as a fiscal agent and program coordinator for countywide initiatives that align education to local labor market needs.
Notable achievements
Large-scale 8th Grade Career Expo
Runs an annual countywide Career Expo that exposes thousands of Adams County 8th graders to industry representatives and career pathways.
County scholarship management
Serves as fiscal agent and student support coordinator for the Adams County Scholarship Foundation and related youth award programs, providing sustained support to scholars.
Broad countywide partnership network
Sustained multi-sector partnerships with all Adams County school districts, community colleges, employers and local government to align education and workforce efforts across the county.
