About HOUSTON FAMILY ARTS CENTER

Houston Family Arts Center (doing business as Stageworks Theatre) is a 501(c)(3) community and professional theatre organization founded in 2005 that produces season programming, musicals, plays, specialty events, and an education Academy. The organization focuses on high-quality, family-friendly productions and on-stage and behind-the-scenes training that serve children, teens, and adults. Stageworks operates an active Academy with year-round classes, summer camps, and youth productions, and in recent years has expanded accessibility programming (including NEA-supported sensory-friendly offerings). The theatre maintains an ongoing mainstage season, receives community and foundation support, and has been recognized by local press and regional theatre awards for artistic and organizational excellence.
