About BOOK TRUST
Book Trust is a national 501(c)(3) literacy nonprofit that partners with schools, districts, publishers, donors, and community organizations to ensure children from low-income and Title I elementary schools can choose and keep developmentally and culturally relevant print books.
Operating since 2001 and incorporated as an independent 501(c)(3) in 2006, Book Trust’s model centers on student choice, classroom celebrations, and building home libraries through a long-standing sponsorship partnership with Scholastic Book Clubs.
In recent years Book Trust has expanded programming and partnerships—including targeted disaster-relief distributions and community events—serving tens of thousands of students annually and hundreds of thousands since its founding.
