About SODZO INTERNATIONAL

Sodzo International is a Houston-based 501(c)(3) public charity that operates community-driven programs in Meru County, Kenya focused on preventing child street-migration, reintegrating street-involved children, and strengthening family- and village-level resilience. The organization partners with local Kenyan teams (Sodzo Kenya) and academic collaborators to design, implement, and evaluate multi-sector interventions aimed at improving child welfare, mental health, and economic stability for vulnerable households.

Over the last 2–3 years Sodzo has produced and contributed to multiple peer‑reviewed research publications evaluating program outcomes (including studies on reintegration outcomes, mental health, and drivers of street migration), and continues to publish research summaries and program evaluations on its website and research library. These research and evaluation activities are used to refine program models and inform local policy and practice in the regions where they work.

Sodzo maintains an active donor-facing website with a visible Donate option and has submitted recent Form 990 returns; financial summaries from publicly available filings show the organization operating with annual revenues in the low-to-mid six figures and continuing program activity in Kenya.
