About LA NUEVA ESPERANZA, INC.
La Nueva Esperanza, Inc. (LNE) is a Brooklyn-based 501(c)(3) community organization founded in 2006 that delivers bilingual (English/Spanish), culturally informed services focused on HIV prevention and care, substance use/overdose prevention, supportive counseling, and food and nutrition for people living with HIV. LNE operates multiple programs including Targeted Prevention & Supportive Services (MSA), an Opioid Overdose Prevention Program (OOPP) that conducts trainings and distributes naloxone, a Social Care Network and Health Navigation services, and a Food & Nutrition Program offering congregate meals, pantry bags and home-delivered meals. In recent years the organization has continued to receive public health grant support (including Ryan White/Part A and city/state public health funding), filed annual Form 990 returns, and sustained program operations serving primarily Latinx and African American neighborhoods in Brooklyn (including Williamsburg, Bushwick and Greenpoint).

Two-decade milestone
Founded in 2006, LNE marked 20 years of community service, reflecting sustained program delivery for people affected by HIV, substance use, and food insecurity.
Sustained food & nutrition services
Operates a Ryan White–supported Food & Nutrition Program providing freshly prepared breakfast, lunch and dinner (Monday–Friday), pantry bags and home-delivered meals for food-insecure clients living with HIV.
Active opioid overdose prevention program
Runs a city-supported Opioid Overdose Prevention Program that provides overdose response trainings and distributes naloxone (Narcan) through outreach in high-need Brooklyn neighborhoods.
