About Baby's Space - A Place to Grow

Baby's Space - A Place to Grow is a Minneapolis-based 501(c)(3) early childhood nonprofit that provides relationship-based, full-day childcare and family supports from pregnancy through early elementary grades. The organization was founded out of the Little Earth Neighborhood Early Learning Center and explicitly centers culturally responsive programming for children and families in the Phillips/Little Earth community.

Programs include infant, toddler, preschool, pre-K, parent education and family supports, and a year-round K–3 contract school (Tatanka Academy) that extends Baby's Space services into early elementary. Under long-standing executive leadership, the organization emphasizes trauma-informed, culturally rooted care and has received foundation and state grants in recent years to expand outdoor education, mental health supports for families and staff, and operational capacity.
