About Child Loss Foundation

The Child Loss Foundation is a donor-facing nonprofit based in Golden Valley, Minnesota that provides emotional, practical, and financial support to parents after the death of a child. It combines healing programs, direct financial assistance, and employer-facing resources to meet families’ needs across the grief journey.

Programming includes Child Loss Retreats (operating from the Faith’s Lodge retreat facility), the Child Loss BeliEve Fund which provides immediate practical financial assistance to grieving families in Minnesota, and the Child Loss @ Work initiative that helps employers support grieving employees. The organization also runs community events to honor children gone too soon and to raise funds and awareness.

The organization formed by bringing together the long-standing Faith’s Lodge retreat work and the BeliEve Fund; it is led by a professional staff and board and maintains public annual reports, audited financials, and IRS Form 990 filings to support transparency and donor decision-making.

Strategic merger and rebrand

Consolidated the programs of Faith’s Lodge and The BeliEve Foundation into the Child Loss Foundation to create a single, more comprehensive national-facing organization offering retreats, financial assistance, and workplace supports.

Child Loss BeliEve Fund impact

Since its first gift in 2019 the BeliEve Fund has provided immediate, practical financial assistance to grieving families in Minnesota, with the organization reporting that the fund has served more than 650 families.

Program development & employer resources

Developed and expanded the Child Loss @ Work program to guide employers in supporting grieving parents and continued to operate Child Loss Retreats at the Faith’s Lodge facility while increasing outreach and referral partnerships.
