About Grass Roots Gay Rights Foundation
Grass Roots Gay Rights Foundation (GRGRF) is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) grantmaking organization based in San Francisco that directs fundraising proceeds to community-based LGBTQ+ service, advocacy, health and arts organizations. The foundation has operated a grass-roots fundraising and grantmaking model for decades and reports having provided millions in support to Bay Area and national beneficiaries. In recent years the foundation has run an annual grants program and the We Rise LGBTQ Scholarship (launched in 2022), awarding direct grants and scholarships to nonprofits and individuals.
