About Lamb Spring Archaeological Preserve
Lamb Spring Archaeological Preserve (LSAP) is a small nonprofit stewarding a 35-acre late-Pleistocene archaeological and paleontological site in the Littleton/ Douglas County, Colorado area notable for well-preserved Ice Age animal remains and associated human artifacts.
Established as a nonprofit organization in 2006 and operating in partnership with museums, professional archaeologists, and volunteer groups, LSAP focuses on protecting in-situ deposits, supporting scientific research, and offering public education programs.
The preserve runs regular public tours and family education events each year, supports ongoing research and conservation of finds, and aims ultimately to expand on-site interpretation and small museum/display capacity.

Major preservation milestone when the Lamb Spring tract was acquired and protected through coordinated efforts with The Archaeological Conservancy and partner agencies, ensuring long-term site protection.
