About Blue Planet Foundation

Blue Planet Foundation is a Honolulu-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works to cut Hawaiʻi’s carbon emissions and advance a clean, equitable energy future. The organization pursues state and administrative policy change, runs community and youth programs, and creates educational tools to increase access to clean energy solutions across the islands. Over the last several years Blue Planet has focused on legislative advocacy (including energy-efficiency and clean-transportation priorities), community resilience and recovery efforts, and strategic organizational planning. The organization publishes regular impact materials and has been actively involved in convenings and policy workshops to share Hawaiʻi’s clean-energy experience with other jurisdictions.
