MAGNIFICAT HOUSES INC

Magnificat Houses, Inc. is a Houston-based 501(c)(3) founded in 1968 that provides supportive housing, meals, and mental-health recovery services to people experiencing homelessness, poverty, and serious mental-health challenges. The organization operates neighborhood homes, an emergency shelter and transitional programs, a Clubhouse mental-health program, and meal services to serve its residents and the broader unhoused population. In recent years Magnificat Houses expanded permanent supportive housing with RoseMary’s Place (a 149-unit development) and strengthened on-site supportive services; its 2025 impact report reports hundreds placed into emergency shelter and thousands of meals and service contacts delivered during the year. The organization maintains an active public presence (including a redesigned website launched in 2025) and publishes annual impact and financial information for donors and partners. Magnificat Houses explicitly centers dignity, community, and long-term stability through tenant-centered case management, Clubhouse recovery programming, workforce and life-skills supports, and food access programs that together aim to move people from crisis to independent living.
