About MILLER THEATRE ADVISORY BOARD INC

Miller Theatre Advisory Board, Inc. (MTAB) is the nonprofit steward for Houston’s Miller Outdoor Theatre in Hermann Park, created to support artistic, educational, and cultural programming and to help keep performances free and accessible to the public. The all-volunteer board (appointed by the Mayor and approved by City Council) solicits and manages public and private funds, distributes grants, and oversees concessions and operations in partnership with City agencies and local arts organizations. MTAB programs include evening public performances, daytime education shows for school groups and families, and grantmaking to local arts producers and youth arts programs. The organization maintains public financial transparency and publishes recent Form 990s and audited financial statements on the Miller Outdoor Theatre website.

Longstanding stewardship of Miller Outdoor Theatre

Established as a nonprofit partner created by the City (original articles date to 1970), MTAB has for decades coordinated fundraising, programming and operations that sustain Miller Outdoor Theatre as a free cultural resource for Houston.
