HALE KIPA INC

Hale Kipa is a long-established, state-wide nonprofit based in ʻEwa Beach, Oʻahu that provides outreach, shelter, foster care, transitional housing, counseling, and independent-living supports for at-risk youth, young adults, and their families. Founded in 1970 and continuously accredited by the Council on Accreditation, the agency operates multiple programs across islands and partners with public agencies and community organizations to stabilize youth in crisis and reduce system involvement. In recent years Hale Kipa has expanded housing-focused services (including Step‑Up Housing and a Housing First component), sustained island-wide youth outreach (YO!), and operated licensed child-placing and emergency shelter programs. The organization reports serving roughly 2,000 youth annually and has served tens of thousands of young people since its founding, with an ongoing emphasis on culturally grounded, trauma-informed care.
