About PERALTA COLLEGES FOUNDATION

Peralta Colleges Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit auxiliary that raises funds and manages scholarships and donor partnerships on behalf of the Peralta Community College District (Berkeley City College, College of Alameda, Laney College, and Merritt College). The Foundation focuses on scholarship awards, endowed funds, faculty and staff professional development, and program support that expand access to affordable higher education for undocumented, low-income, first-generation, and housing-insecure students in the East Bay. In recent years the Foundation has increased scholarship distribution and public reporting of impact (including a 2024/25 Impact Report), managing more than 100 scholarship funds and working with local partners to deliver measurable student support across the district.
