Community Resources & Housing Development Corporation (CRHDC), founded in 1971 (originally Colorado Rural Housing Development Corporation), is a state-wide 501(c)(3) nonprofit that develops affordable housing, operates HUD-approved housing counseling, and offers lending through its Community Development Financial Institution affiliate.
CRHDC delivers programs across urban and rural Colorado including mutual self-help homebuilding, multi-family affordable development, property management of affordable rentals, homebuyer education, foreclosure prevention, financial capability coaching, and small-business/rural lending.

Mutual Self-Help impact
Facilitated construction of over 2,000 self-help homes across roughly 30 Colorado counties through the USDA Mutual Self-Help program, enabling homeownership through participant 'sweat equity.'
Affordable rental portfolio & technical assistance
Provides property management and oversight for hundreds of affordable rental units statewide and has delivered technical assistance for farmworker housing projects (500+ units supported historically).
Major recent project funding — Tierra Azul
Spearheaded the large Tierra Azul master-planned development in Alamosa (multi-phase project); in the 2023–2025 period secured transformational housing and grant support and received housing tax credit awards to advance initial phases.
