About Fort Lewis College Foundation, Inc.
The Fort Lewis College Foundation is the independent 501(c)(3) philanthropic partner for Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado, raising and stewarding private gifts to support scholarships, academic programs, faculty excellence, facilities, and student experiential learning. The organization was established in the late 1960s and has been tax-exempt since the early 1970s.
In the last 2–3 years the Foundation has grown its endowment, launched new endowed funds, and delivered expanded scholarship support and programmatic funding that directly benefit students, faculty, athletics, and regional partnerships.

The Foundation completed a historic fundraising cycle in 2024–25 with a multi‑million dollar increase in gifts and planned commitments that substantially boosted scholarship and program funding.
