About UNITED COMMUNITY CENTERS INC

Founded in 1909, United Community Centers (UCC) is a long-established, donor-facing 501(c)(3) nonprofit operating neighborhood centers in Fort Worth that deliver early-childhood and K–7 literacy programs, licensed after-school care, family resource workshops, and large-scale food distribution. UCC runs targeted literacy and youth-development programs that report measurable learning gains (their individualized literacy instruction shows a significantly higher on-grade reading rate among participating Pre-K–7 students than local/state averages) and provides pantry and grocery distributions that reach tens of thousands of local households each year. In the last 2–3 years UCC has remained active in fundraising and community partnerships (including foundation grants and community campaigns), continued its Summer Literacy Adventures and free summer meals programming, and sustained monthly/mobile food distributions and family resource events across its neighborhood centers.
