About NEXUS RECOVERY CENTER INCORPORATED

Nexus Recovery Center (doing business as Nexus Family Recovery Center) is a Dallas-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1971 that provides gender-specific, trauma-informed substance use disorder treatment for women and family-centered services. The organization operates residential programs, outpatient services, medical detoxification, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and a licensed Child Development Center so mothers can participate fully in treatment while their children receive care and therapies on campus; Nexus also accepts women in late stages of pregnancy. In fiscal year 2023 Nexus reported serving 1,720 women and 210 children, maintains audited financial statements and publicly posted Form 990s, and receives support from local funders and partners including United Way and regional foundations.

Maintains accreditation from The Joint Commission for its behavioral health/substance use services (accredited since 2006), demonstrating adherence to national clinical and safety standards.

Moms & Kids On Campus (PPWC)

Runs a Pregnant & Parenting Women with Children program that allows mothers and up to three children (ages 0–12) to live on campus during treatment; reported 50 Nexus-born babies and 210 children served in FY2023.

FY2023 Service Reach & Outcomes

In fiscal year 2023 Nexus served 1,720 women and 210 children; outcome reporting in that year showed 49% of clients reported a life-changing impact 60 days after treatment and 74% of alumni reported positive family impact.
