About INTERCULTURAL STUDENT EXPERIENCES

Intercultural Student Experiences (doing business as Xperitas) is a nonprofit educational organization that designs and delivers educator-led, immersion-based student travel programs focused on language, culture, and community connection. The organization’s programs emphasize authentic engagement — including its signature Family Stay Experience® — where students live with carefully selected local host families to build real-world language skills and cross-cultural understanding. Xperitas supports teachers at every stage of program planning and operation, provides student preparation and 24/7 in-country support, and maintains financial and governance policies consistent with an established nonprofit. In recent years the organization has continued to run scholarships, contests, and financial-aid programs to expand access and reported renewed program activity and participant growth after pandemic disruptions.
