About AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF CERTIFIED ORTHOPTISTS INC

The American Association of Certified Orthoptists (AACO) is the U.S. professional association for certified orthoptists. It acts as a membership organization that provides continuing education, clinical guidance, career resources, and public information about orthoptics and conditions treated by orthoptists. AACO maintains an active web presence and convenes professional education events (including annual national meetings and regional/virtual programs), works in partnership with the American Orthoptic Council (the certifying body), and publishes resources for both practitioners and the public. Published a revised 2024 Edition of the Syllabus of Orthoptic Instruction to standardize and update core educational content for orthoptic training and professional development.
