About Logan County Economic Development Corporation
Logan County Economic Development Corporation (LCEDC) is a community-focused 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving Logan County, Colorado. It acts as a central point of contact to help businesses access financing, incentive programs, site-selection assistance, and public–private partnership opportunities.
LCEDC supports business retention and expansion, industry recruitment, and infrastructure projects (including housing, renewable energy, and digital infrastructure) while coordinating with local government, regional education partners, and private stakeholders to grow the county’s economic base.
In the last few years LCEDC has engaged in targeted initiatives to attract bio-based and renewable energy projects, explored data‑center and solar site opportunities, and continued small business and entrepreneurship programming to bolster local enterprise and workforce capacity.
Notable achievements
BDO Zone 'A' designation (2023)
Played a local leadership role in securing an 'A' BDO Zone rating for Logan County’s wheat‑straw feedstock, positioning the county for bio‑manufacturing and bioenergy investment.
Renewable energy & site development facilitation
Supported and promoted multiple renewable energy and large‑site initiatives (solar, wind, and related projects) and engaged in discussions to repurpose underutilized public lands for energy and data‑related uses.
Expanded small business supports
Maintained and promoted business‑support programs including lending, incubator/co‑working resources, mentorship programming, and entrepreneurship workshops to strengthen local enterprise capacity.
