H2O for Life

H2O for Life is a White Bear Lake, Minnesota–based 501(c)(3) that partners with U.S. schools and experienced NGO implementing partners to fund and support water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) projects at schools in low-resource communities worldwide. The organization’s model combines classroom service-learning, free curriculum and lesson plans, student-led fundraising, and grant stewardship to connect student donors with verified school WASH projects. In the last two to three years H2O for Life has continued active project work and school engagement: it reported project activity and completed WASH projects in 2024 (including projects in South Sudan, Tanzania, and a U.S. effort on the Navajo Nation), maintained an active blog and educator outreach, and supported student fellowship and presentation programs. Between July 1, 2024 and July 1, 2025 H2O for Life’s schools and program partners pledged roughly $149,057 toward school WASH projects; funds were matched by implementing partners to produce a larger combined impact.
