Hawaiʻi Agricultural Foundation

Hawaiʻi Agricultural Foundation (HAF) is a Honolulu-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2007 that works to strengthen Hawaiʻi’s food systems by supporting farmers, providing K–12 agricultural education, and building community awareness of local food and farming. HAF operates hands-on education programs (including Veggie U and a K–12 ag continuum), farmer assistance and market access initiatives (notably the HAF Ag Park at Kunia), and public events and campaigns that connect producers, schools, chefs, and consumers across the islands. In the last 2–3 years HAF has expanded workforce and recovery efforts — including partnering with the State on the Hele Imua agriculture internship initiative and launching a Hawaiʻi Farmers’ Disaster Relief Fund following severe storms — while continuing signature programs and statewide teacher training.
