About Denver Writes
Denver Writes (EIN 26-1111771) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that runs regular creative writing clubs, monthly themed workshops, and expeditionary summer camps for youth in the Denver metro area.
Founded as Metro Denver Promotion of Letters in 2007 and operating under the Denver Writes name since 2014, the organization partners with local bookstores, libraries, museums, and schools to deliver in-person programming and publishing/presentation opportunities for student authors.
In recent years Denver Writes has expanded programming and participation — sustaining weekly after-school clubs, running multiple summer camps, staging an annual public 'Scary Stories' reading at a local museum, and maintaining scholarship support to reduce financial barriers.
