About Sustainable Development Strategies Group
Sustainable Development Strategies Group (SDSG) is an independent, tax‑exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit research institute based in Colorado that advances best practices for sustainable management of renewable energy and natural resources through research, policy analysis, teaching, and advisory work.
SDSG operates globally (projects across Latin America, North America, Africa, and Asia), with deep expertise in mining and minerals policy, indigenous rights, critical minerals, and renewable energy; recent activities include policy brief releases, capacity‑building workshops, and funded comparative law research and translation projects.

Policy briefing on carbon markets
Released a policy briefing (co‑authored with partners) addressing harms and reform options in nature‑based carbon markets and recommending policy approaches ahead of major climate negotiations.
15 Years of Impact milestone
Documented a decade‑plus record of global projects, trainings, and research (2007–2022) demonstrating sustained contributions to mining, mineral governance, and community capacity building.
