ART WITH A HEART IN HEALTHCARE INC

Art with a Heart in Healthcare (AWAHIH) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2001 that delivers personalized fine art experiences to patients and families in clinical settings. The organization operates artists-in-residence programs, bedside and group art sessions, and distributes "art-to-go" kits to pediatric and other hospital patients to support emotional well-being and recovery. AWAHIH partners with local hospitals and health systems in Jacksonville (including children's hospitals and health providers) and works with professional teaching artists and volunteers to tailor sessions for individual patient needs. Over its history the organization reports large-scale reach and engagement through in-person programs and digital/print creative resources for patients and families. In recent years AWAHIH has continued direct service delivery (artists-in-residence, take-home art kits, and virtual/print art resources) and sustained partnerships with regional healthcare and funder partners to expand access to arts-based healing supports.
