About MY POSSIBILITIES

My Possibilities is a Plano, Texas–based nonprofit that provides full-day, year-round continuing education, vocational training, employment placement, and wrap-around therapy and residential supports for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The organization operates a purpose-built Campus for Higher Learning and a range of workforce and life-skills programs designed to increase independence, community inclusion, and paid employment for the adults it serves.

Since its founding in 2008 My Possibilities has expanded from a small local program into one of North Texas’s largest providers for adults with IDD, serving hundreds of adults weekly through academics, career services, therapy, residential support, and social enterprises. In recent years the organization has completed major capital work on its Campus for Higher Learning, scaled its LaunchAbility career services, and continued to report multi-million dollar annual program activity and audited financials.

Notable achievements

Opened Campus for Higher Learning (2018)

Established the first college-style campus in North Texas specifically for adults with IDD; phase one opened in 2018 and significantly increased MP’s capacity to provide academic, vocational, and life-skills programming for HIPsters.

Merger with LaunchAbility (2018)

Integrated LaunchAbility’s supported-employment expertise into My Possibilities to form the LaunchAbility Career Center, broadening vocational training, job placement, and employer-engagement services.

Career Services Building & capital campaign (2022–2023)

Completed phase-one capital work and broke ground on the Career Services Building in 2022 (with major foundation support) to add vocational training labs and certificates; the expansion added capacity to serve several hundred more adults with IDD and advance community employment pathways.
